Ghana Project
Empowering girls through education and menstrual health support in the Ashanti Region

Project Overview
One in four girls in Sub-Saharan Africa misses school because of period-related challenges. As part of our commitment to advancing education, Mobilize Africa implemented a comprehensive support program at Yennyawoso Presby School in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
Our Contribution
Through this initiative, we provided essential supplies and educational resources:
- 3,200 sanitary pads to support menstrual health
- 300 college-ruled notebooks for academic work
- 300 pens and 300 pencils for writing and drawing
- 150 math instrument sets for mathematics education
- Educational sessions on feminine hygiene and proper sanitary pad use
Impact
Our project directly impacted approximately 100 girls who participated in the educational sessions, equipping them with knowledge about feminine hygiene and proper sanitary pad use. By addressing period poverty and providing educational materials, we're helping to ensure that these girls can attend school consistently and focus on their studies without interruption.
