Who We Are
Mobilize Africa is a team of health advocates dedicated to reducing medical supply waste and ensuring fair distribution of resources. We work closely with local communities, governments, and international organizations to bridge disparities between Anglophone and Francophone countries and uplift marginalized populations across Africa.
What We Do
We collect usable medical supplies and provide them to hospitals and clinics across the continent. Through partnerships with healthcare workers and local leaders, we support stronger, more reliable systems of care. While we continue this direct support model, we are also working with partners to create sustainable systems that reduce dependence and strengthen local healthcare infrastructure for the long term.
Why It Matters
In the U.S., over 5 million tons of medical supplies are discarded each year, much of it still usable. That's nearly 950 pounds every three seconds.
Across Africa, the contrast is stark. 40 million children under five live in healthcare deserts, with limited or no access to essential medical services. This contributes to 1.5 million preventable child deaths every year.
Mobilize Africa helps close this gap. We recover high-quality medical supplies and connect them with hospitals and clinics across the continent.

Ghana Project
Making a difference in communities
One in four girls in Sub-Saharan Africa misses school because of period-related challenges. As part of our commitment to advancing education, Mobilize Africa donated 3,200 sanitary pads, 300 college-ruled notebooks, 300 pens, 300 pencils, and 150 math instrument sets to Yennyawoso Presby School in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. In addition to the donations, we led an educational session where about 100 girls were taught the basics of feminine hygiene and proper sanitary pad use.
Nigeria Project
Making a difference in communities
Mobilize Africa prepared 150 bags of anesthesia medical supplies for underserved hospitals and clinics in Nigeria. Each bag contained critical items such as endotracheal tubes, laryngoscope blades, airway management tools, oxygen masks, and IV tubing. These supplies support safe surgeries, emergency care, and essential procedures in areas with limited resources. The project was made possible through the hard work of our volunteers, who carefully assembled and organized each shipment.
Teddy Bear Fair in Grand Rapids
Making a difference in communities
Mobilize Africa participated in the Teddy Bear Fair in Grand Rapids to engage with children and families in the local community. We set up interactive stations with stethoscopes, doctor kits, and medical-themed activities designed for children. Through these hands-on experiences, we introduced basic healthcare concepts and sparked conversations about global health. The event allowed us to inspire curiosity about medicine while connecting with families in a fun and welcoming environment.
Next Steps
Mobilize Africa remains committed to expanding our impact through sustainable initiatives. We are currently focusing on projects that provide clean water and install filtration systems for hospitals and clinics. Access to safe water is essential for patient care, infection control, and community health. A significant number of health issues in these settings could be prevented or greatly reduced through access to clean water alone.
